Agricultural support and Our Irrigation Project

People who live in Saltadere and its surrounding area have only two sources of water: a gravity-fed pipeline built in 1980s and river water. The lack of rainfall in most seasons results in a low level of water near Saltadere, which decreases the amount of water available for agriculture and irrigation. Even though Saltadere citizens compensate this lack of water by using the pipeline water for their agricultural needs, this area is in need of an established irrigation system that will not waste clean water suitable for drinking.

Our efforts focus on designing an irrigation system that will help Saltadere citizens in their agricultural efforts. The goal of this project is to maximize the water supplies available for both irrigation and consumption.
